State of APEX Development in 2018 – Report

Inspired by Stack Overflows annual development survey, in December of last year, we ran a survey of 25 questions to better understand the state of APEX development in the community. A big thank you goes out to all the 318 participants for taking the time to contribute. From the survey results we have compiled the following report which you can download by clicking the image below:

We would like to thank Joel Kallman and Jürgen Schuster, for their input on the survey and helping promote it.

If you want to see another question for the 2019 edition, please leave a comment on this post.

Wow! Very insightful, especially the satisfaction survey. Thanks for sharing!

Some interesting graphs in there, nice.

I’d like some questions regarding how many applications people might treat as one, using workspace sharing. ie – One behemoth application vs multiple applications. How does this appear to the user?

And maybe an extension to the plugins thread – do you take ownership of any plugin issues during APEX upgrades, or rely on updates?
